Thursday, August 4
Nevada Art Museum
4:00-7:00 pm

As motorheads from around world the begin congregating in Reno for the annual Hot August Nights car extravaganza, Reno’s bike community is gearing up for RBP’s 3rd annual Hot August Bikes.
The party begins this Thursday, August 4th, at the Nevada Museum of Art where the bike project is hosting the Gleaming Tube Show and Shine. As Reno’s only bike showcase, this unique event is an opportunity for bicycle enthusiasts young and old to show off their wacky bikes. Last year over 50 bikes were entered in the showcase and 20 lucky participants went home with awards and proof that their bikes are the best in the biggest little city. Matt Mansur won the 2010 Best in Show award with his dazzling cream colored Lemond team bike.
If you have a bike you’d like to show off for the world to see, pedal down to the art museum and enter it in the contest for a chance to win the title in one of 20 categories. Bring the kids and enjoy live music and free refreshments. Registration begins at 4 pm and judging starts at 5:30.
