Youth Mountain Bike Team
The Tumbleweeds is Reno Bike Projects' very own new youth mountain bike team, founded earlier this year!
Meet the Tumbleweeds!
The mission of the Tumbleweeds is to increase the accessibility of mountain biking to youth in the Reno area. Our team is open to anyone aged 9-17 who is interested in biking, whether they have never tried the sport before or are avid cyclists! Mountain bikes and all necessary gear are provided, and there is no cost to join.
The Tumbleweeds' dedicated coaches are trained to support a wide range of skill sets and are excited to get the kids out riding around Reno and beyond. Although the team is focused on biking, we also aim to build community, support each others' goals, and spend time exploring the natural spaces that the greater Truckee Meadows area has to offer!
