FreeWheels 4 Kids!
FreeWheels 4 Kids is RBP's annual holiday giveaway where we donate bikes to youth in the Truckee Meadows. Our volunteers spend three days refurbishing kid bikes that have been donated to RBP. Each year we give away 350 bikes to a variety of school programs and organizations!
Past recipients include: Women and Children Center of the Sierra, Reno Housing Authority, and a number of Title 1 schools.
FreeWheels 4 Kids Application
If you're interested in receiving a bike through our FreeWheels 4 Kids program for a school or organization, fill out this application! Our Program Managers will get back to you soon with next steps. Bikes are for kids 4'10" and under.
FW4K Volunteer Events
A FreeWheels4Kids Night or FW4K Volunteer Event is intended to be fun and for all skill levels! You don't need to know how to wrench on bikes to help us out. We can either teach you or put you to work some other way such as cleaning the bike or adding reflectors. There's something for everyone. If you've been wanting to get in the door, this is a great first step!
We get kids' bikes donated all year long. We host these parties. You tune up the bikes. Then we make sure they get into the hands of kids who otherwise wouldn't have a bike. It's heartwarming and super cool!
