Rentals

If you are attending Burning Man and looking for a bike, click here.

Yes! We offer high-quality bicycle rentals for the Truckee Meadows. In order to share our belief that bicycle is the best way to experience and get around the greater Reno area, we have curated a city fleet of multi-geared cruisers and urban flat-bar road bikes, equipped as functional commuters. In addition we offer a fleet of road and mountain bikes.

So you are looking to get some exercise, check out a path, park, or pub, explore Reno’s bicycle-friendly communities, or run some errands by bike? Reno Bike Project has the rental solution for you. Large groups can be accommodated. Please contact rentals@renobikeproject.com or call us at 775.323.4488. Rental bikes are available from 216 E Grove Street only.

Rates

Bicycles can be rented by the hour (2-hour minimum), day, or multi-day.

Daily rates are based on a 24-hour period. If you pick up a rental on Monday at 11 am for a one-day rental then it needs to be returned to the Reno Bike Project by 11 am on Tuesday.

Reserving and Renting

There are several ways to reserve your bicycle rental. You can call us during our normal business hours and we will guide you through the process. You can email us with the particulars of your bicycle needs and we will respond in 24 hours with a confirmed reservation. You can fill out a Rental Request and submit with the same expectation of confirmation within 24 hours. Finally, you can drop in at 216 E Grove St. anytime and rent (or reserve) a bike during our normal business hours!

We require a credit card security authorization of $500/ bike ($1,750 for an e-bike). This is not a charge or a hold on your account, and it will expire after a few days. We will run a charge on your card for the actual rental price upon return.

Try, Then Buy

If you really love your rental, we’re happy to sell it to you, so you can have it forever! We will deduct your rental rate from the sales price. And because we’re a non-profit, no sales tax applies.
