Heads up! Reno Bike Project will be closed Saturday, September 3, Sunday, September 4, and Monday, September 5 in observance of Labor Day Weekend. After the big Burning Man rush, we think we deserve the holiday. Have a great weekend! Traditionally, it’s your last chance to wear white or seersucker, so enjoy it!

Just a note that may be of interest, as of Sept. 17, the bike lane on the east side of Sierra St. between 14th and 15th has recently become problematic. UNR students are being ticketed in large numbers daily for parking there. In my view, the problem is partly due to the fact that the city has failed to clearly mark the area with signage and red curb paint. Why hasn’t the city taken care of this? Could it be to generate revenue? Generally, anywhere else in Reno where parking is prohibited along a curb area, the curb is painted red. Maybe someone from RBP could pay a visit to the appropriate department or city council meeting to promote some action on this matter. They might listen to you. Just a thought…Cheers.
