Reno Bike Project (RBP) is a non-profit community bicycle shop and resource for the Truckee Meadows committed to creating a nationally recognized, cycling-friendly community through education, cooperation and advocacy.
Reno Bike Project’s Freewheels for Kids program has provided over 400 bicycles to kids in need during the holiday season. These bicycles are donated by community members and repaired by RBP volunteers like you. Once all the bikes have been checked by RBP staff they are then donated to community organizations who distribute the bikes to families currently in extreme need, most of whom are currently living in shelters or are in temporary housing. We need your help in getting these bicycles repaired so we are hosting our 4th Annual Freewheels work parties, on November 9th and 16th, from 11am-3pm, at RBP. Tools and snacks will be provided, just come on down and get ready to fix some bikes.
